Is your rigging adjustable? Really adjustable?
With the Stonewall Classic you can adjust the cinch position in 144 different positions. Saddle or pad moving? Adjust the cinch position! Forward, rearward, up, or down. There is a position that is just right for your horse

Stonewall Saddle Company uses a tough, lightweight, rawhide covered wood tree. This proprietary design is significantly lighter than a plastic tree.
We guarantee* that the foundation of your saddle, the tree, will fit your horse. You won’t have to use any special pads or customize shims to make it fit, because we custom fit your saddle for your horses anatomy.
Some saddlers may only ask you for a picture of your horse, a shoulder line tracing or ask if it is wide, medium, or maybe narrow. Are you sure of your horses size?
Stonewall Saddle Company needs more data for an accurate engineered fit. That’s why we recommend you use the Card System to measure your horse.
What information did you provide for that other custom saddle? If your saddler gave you a choice of small, medium, or large, that’s not a custom shaped saddle!

Does it last? Yes! There are many 20 to 30 year old Stonewall Saddles on the trail. We see these old’uns occasionally when they need sheepskin replacement. When uncovered, we find the conformal foam in good condition.
Don’t confuse this foam with closed cell shock absorbing foam. We use shock foam on your seat, but it is the wrong material between the bar and the horse.
As your horse bends, twists, and arches its back, the conformal foam interface keeps your mount comfortable, and keeps you in “close contact”
It’s not really flat, but the Stonewall seat doesn’t force the rider into one position like most saddles. Take a side view of a typical saddle and you’ll see a slope from the pommel downhill to the seat pocket. Being held in this pocket eliminates your ability to center yourself on varying terrain. In addition, a steep slope in front of your crotch often leads to painful bumping and chafing. If you want to go the distance, you’ll appreciate being able to vary your position in the saddle to alleviate aches and pains. The Stonewall seat allows increased forward pelvic movement and tilt. This allows centered riding over all terrain and comfortable posting.
Underneath the supple garment leather we cushion your seat with a luxurious layer of closed cell shock foam, and sculpt it so it’s as narrow as your tree will allow. You might be surprised at how much more comfortable our seat is without all the layers of traditional skirting chafing your thighs.
The stirrup straps on the Stonewall Saddle are attached in a free swinging manner. This eliminates twisting stress on the riders knee and ankle joints and provides for pain free riding even after hours in the saddle.
All other things being equal lighter is better, so quit calling those 20 lbs saddles “Lightweight”.
You will certainly appreciate shaving 10 lbs off the saddle; and your horse will quit flinching when you quit throwing heavy saddles at him :)

A bespoke saddle used to be a luxury for horses when they were considered livestock and workhorses, and we have all seen horses saddled with no thought to fit. But most riders nowadays want the best for the equine partners and are conscious of the importance of proper fit . We urge you to buy a saddle that is fit to your horse. Your horse deserves it.
